Evangelistic Work

Crusades in UgandaThrust Ministries International and Afri-Tendo focus on evangelistic work both in the United States and at home in Uganda, actively engaged in fulfilling the great commission (Mathew 28:19). While in the States, the group works in schools, churches, civic groups and prisons, always preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Crusades in UgandaWhile home in Uganda, the group works in cities like Kampala and also the remote towns and villages. The statistics showing that 66% of the country is Christian are quite misleading. Most Christians in this country do not understand what salvation means and the churches have inadequate means of equipping the saints. Also political and security issues have further intensified the need for guidance. For example, Afri-Tendo recently partnered with the missionary group, Flood the Nations based in Fort Collins, Colorado to hold a crusade in Gulu, Northern Uganda. This part of the country has been characterized by insecurity and war. Children have been traumatized and left orphaned by war, not to mention HIV/Aids and malnutrition. Most people in the area are not sure of their next meal, households living in total deprivation and impoverishment. The group brought a message of hope to the community. Crusades in UgandaWorking with local churches and pastors, Flood the Nations and Afri-Tendo held a five night crusade with 1500 to 2000 people attending and at least 100 people giving their hearts Jesus every night.
